Anywhere that accepts port-ins! Once you unlock the number from our service*, you should be able to port your Sideline number out to any carrier or service provider that accepts port-ins.
Please see our other article "What do I need to port my number out?" to makes sure you're ready to provide the correct information to the winning carrier.
NOTE: Since we are viewed as a VoIP (voice over IP) service by some carrier networks, our numbers are often viewed as landlines, which may prevent or delay the time it takes for your port request to transfer to the new carrier. Please be aware that once your number is unlocked from our service, we are no longer involved in the port out process, and we will never place a hold or prevent the port out of your phone number.
More Details to Consider:
- Any errors that arise will need to be dealt with through the service you're taking your number to
- If the service you're transferring your number to does not accept the Sideline number because it is recognized as a landline, we would suggest an option of "parking" your phone number through another service, then porting the number from there
